As you say these things shouldnt be a once a year ritual. It should be something that happens throughout the course of your relationship. You should never need a special occasion to show someone how much you love them.

Really? Don’t get me wrong, I’m in agreement with you partly, but when you make a statement like this you actually have to be ready to defend it.
