Gaming World Wowed By GTA 5 Trailer

With over a million views of the Youtube hosted version of the teaser trailer alone, the interest that the world is taking in the latest instalment of the wildly successful Grand Theft Auto series is about as high as it can get.

Previous entries in this series have not shied away from social commentary and satire (as well as pandering to the desire to cause vast amounts of mayhem). From the looks of the minute and a half teaser trailer it looks as though GTA 5 will continue this tradition, with a setting that resembles the depression era (current not historical)California.

Music festivals are great, but they tend to have one or two problems. Of these the fact that they happen at locations not necessarily picked for your personal convenience ranks pretty high. Solving that problem is one of the things that makes Oxjam great.

In what amounts to Britain’s biggest music festival, Oxjam is a collection of literally hundreds of different events up and down the country. The types of venues are also diverse, including humble village halls and Oxfam shops.

The aim of the the whole shebang is to raise funds, but the opportunity it gives to up and coming artists, aspiring promoters and also gig goers who live somewhat off the beaten track could be an end in itself. You can see the events that are still to run here, but if you don’t like leaving the house but still want to to support the work that Oxfam do, they do accept donations.

These are fours good ideas from Oxfam’s ‘Green Granny’. These are all ways to both save money and live in a more responsible way. The ideas are to do these four things this week:

Buy one more fairtrade item
One more thing from a developing country
One less item of meat or dairy
